Frisbee is a very commmon term that is widely recognized. And to many it means the same thing; a flying disc. However "Frisbee" is a brand name and most flying discs are often technically not Frisbees at all. A Frisbee is a disc made by Wham-O for the game of ultimate which is often refered to as "ultimate frisbee". Although it was the original ultimate disc used for the sport of ultimate today the term Frisbee is slowly fading as the Frisbee disc is no longer the standard disc in ultimate games. The Discraft Ultra-Star has surpassed the Frisbee in use and popularity. None-the-less the Wham-O Frisbee is still an approved disc by the Ultimate Players Association.
Ultimate Frisbees have a popular rating of 5. Although the Frisbee disc was one time the disc of choice for most ultimate frisbee players it is no longer the highest rated ultimate disc beat out by the Discraft Ultra-Star.
The Frisbee began as tops to cooking pots and tranformed into the "Pluto Platter". Soon after, Wham-O bought the idea and tranformed it into the well known Frisbee disc used today.
Kuruka is not offering the ultimate disc for purchase at this time. However, you can refer to the following ultimate disc stores to purchase your ultimate discs:
